Bob Page has joined the company as vice president of products. Previously at eBay, Inc., Page brings over 17 years of enterprise data and analytics experience to Hortonworks and will lead the strategic development of the Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP), the industry’s only community-driven, 100-percent open source platform powered by Apache Hadoop. Page will be responsible for delivering enterprise-grade, stable versions of HDP that help accelerate Hadoop adoptions and extend the big data platform to the entire IT ecosystem.
