Hortonworks Sandbox Forum

Add DataNode to Hortonworks Sandbox

  • #39219
    Rushi Soni

I am using hortonworks sandbox, Now I want to expand this by adding datanode in this.
I have two other machine with same configuration, I want to use them as datanode and add them in sandbox hadoop cluster.
Sandbox is running on VirtualBox with host Windows 7 OS and other two machines also running on Windows 7 OS, My current plan is to install CentOS on virtualbox on both the machine and I will add these as datanode to my running sandbox.

Please help me to understand, What are the required network configuration I need to do?

    Hi Rushi,

The sandbox is running on, so you won’t be able to connect any Nodes to it. It was designed as a single node.
Your best bet is to download HDP 1.3.2 (or 2.0 Beta) and run an ambari install with 3 nodes.
