    I would like to know how hdfs federation is handled with Ambari ? Is it possible to add a new hdfs nameservice ?

    Hi Michael,

    HDFS federation is not supported by Ambari and HDP yet.
    It’s in the road map, which target the date in 2nd half of 2014.
