Looks like the ambari machine cannot get to the HDP Stack repositories. Can you confirm the machines can reach the repo metadata?

I am having the same error. Was this resolved. I did a google search and a lot of them are having the same issue.
The message is coming from this file.
    /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/ambari_server/os_type_check.sh

Any help will be appreciated. I even tried hardcoding this variable cluster_os=$1 to cluster_os=$C6. No luck.

Yes, I have internet access and I go through a proxy. I have also configured the proxy settings -D (Java Opts) in the Ambari file.
I can do a wget for that repo file from the server.

Do you think Ambari is not recognizing the proxy settings?

Do you have internet access on your machine? Or do you have to go thru a proxy?

Can you reach this URL from that machine?
