Ambari Installation from tar balls?

  • #55477

    Hi All,
I am evaluating Ambari for managing my cluster. I have the following questions
    1. Is rpm the only way to install Ambari? Is there a way to manually install using tarballs – something along the lines of
    2. How to make sure that Ambari doesnt become a single point of failure?
    3. Is it possible to configure ambari to point to an external database? If so, are there instructions to configure the database for ambari?
