    Just experienced the same problem. The tutorials site keeps some information about recently accessed panels in an sqlite db. If you shutdown the VM while looking at e.g. the webloganalytics view contents, this will be the last page accessed – and after reboot the first page to display. Unfortunately, not all pages can be displayed right away – some pages require cached results which might be missing after VM reboot.

    To fix the sandbox:8888/tutorials right panel follow these steps:

    1. Log in to the sandbox (user root, password hadoop)
    2. run:
    sqlite3 /usr/lib/tutorials/tutorials_app/db/lessons.db
    3. in the sqlite shell query for your beeswax string:
    select * from tutorials_app_userlocation;
    4. update the beeswax row (id is the fiirst column of your previous select statement) to the beeswax main page:
    update tutorials_app_userlocation set hue_location=’http://sandbox:8000/beeswax/’ where id = 1;
    5. reload sandbox:8888/tutorials in your browser
