Cannot import Sandbox in fusion 5.03

  • #18126

When I try importing the Sandbox into fusion I get the following error “Failed to open OVF descriptor”.
running 64bit OS-X Mountain Lion with 8 Gb ram.

Found out that the sandbox is downloaded with the OVF extension but if changed to OVA it’s possible to import it.

    Hi Peter,

Thanks for letting us know. I just tried downloading and I see that file is downloading with .OVA extension.

    Thanks,
    Seth

Same experience for me — on Mac OS X — the download results in a .ovf file that Fusion 5.03 doesn’t like. Changing to .ova allowed the import to proceed.

Hi! I am trying to see if I can duplicate this problem. What browser are you using? My test setup is OS X 10.8 and Fusion 5.0.3. You should be getting a .ova file.

    thanks,
    Ron

I was using latest Chrome browser, OS: 10.8.3, Fusion 5.0.3
