    Hi Marshal,

    Are you running the wget command as root? or at least with sudo? to be able to write to /etc/yum.repos.d root privileges are required.

    Hi Marshal,

    Another possibility is that you don’t have netwrok connectivity to our repository site. Could you test this connectivity by pinging public-repo-1.hortonworks.com?
