  • #44478

    1. Installed HDP 1.3 on windows server 2008 R2.
    2. Configured single node cluster and able to start all the services successfully.

    3. While installing done the below required steps for hive and oozie setup
-> Created databases for Hive and oozie as mentioned in installation guide.
(Able to connect to these data bases from other desktops also using SQL server management studio)
-> Copied jdbc jar into sqljdbc4.jar file to $HIVE_HOME/lib.

    4. When trying to run the smoke test, getting the following connectivity failures for “Hive, HCatalog, HBase and ZooKeeper.

Error: Could not establish connection to jdbc:hive2://vex5dap1136:10001/?hive.se
    rver2.servermode=http: org.apache.http.conn.HttpHostConnectException: Connection
    to http://vex5dap1136:10001 refused (state=08S01,code=0)
    No current connection

Could you please suggest me how to resolve this.

    Thanks,
    Jhansi

    Hi Jhansi,

Can you share the hive-site.xml setting for
    javax.jdo.option.ConnectionURL
    hive.metastore.uris

    Thanks,
    Yi

    #44565

    Hi Yi Zhang,

I have changed the javax.jdo.option.ConnectionURL “create” option to “true” then I am able to connect to hive data base.

    Thanks
    Jhansi
