Denormalization of data with Pig

    I have my database located on database server.. I want to replicate that database in real time in Hadoop.. How do I do it? I also want to denormalize that data on the fly before putting it in Hadoop.. what should be the solution approach? What was my approach , that I will take that data in staging area then migrate it with sqoop and then denormalize it with Pig.

    Were you able to resolve this? meaning find a strategy to demormalize data using pig?
    Because I need to do the same and wondering if I can denormalize data from file using pig for further analyis.
