Disabling Oozie on VM startup

    Hi,
    I would like to disable Oozie on startup.
    I don’t need it (yet), and it just uses up CPU.

    However, I can’t find where Oozie is started.
    I can turn it off with “service ooze stop”, but, when I run “chkconfig” it’s already off by default.

    Hi Miguel,

    If you look in /usr/lib/hue/tools/start_scripts you will find a script called start.sh

    You can then comment out these lines (which will stop Oozie starting)

    echo “Start Oozie”
    su – oozie -c “cd /var/log/oozie; /usr/lib/oozie/bin/oozie-start.sh”
    tail -$line /var/log/oozie/oozie.log
