    Hi Sasha!
    thank you for you response.
I didn’t shut down the machine after installation.
I cann’t start HDFS via HMC becouse I also have a problem with HMC, but it’s something else,,,
    ( i get * RRDs directory ‘/var/lib/ganglia/rrds’ is not readable. Please adjust $conf[‘rrds’]. in /var/www/html/ganglia/eval_conf.php on line 81 ).
and i check all port, everything looked fine, but datanode still not start

    Hi Vik,
Just to also add, this exception indicates communication from namenode to datanode was denied and is most likely due to firewalls blocking or selinux enabled, hence make sure to check on those. A list of ports used by hadoop can be found in our documentation here:
    http://docs.hortonworks.com/CURRENT/Appendix/Configuring_Ports/HDFS_Ports.htm

    Hi Vik,
After the install did you shut down the box? If you simply shut down the box without stopping the services first, the HMC dashboard will get out of sync. How are you trying to start HDFS, via the HMC?
