HDP on Linux – Installation Forum

Double slashes in PATH variables

  • #38362

I am trying to install HDP 1.3 for Windows.

I noticed that the HDP 1.3 Windows installation creates many Hadoop system environment variables with double and triple slashes.
For example, if HDP_DIR is “c:\hdp\hadoop” many environment variables have “c:\hdp\hadoop\\” or “c:\hdp\hadoop\\\” listed in their paths.

Is this a bug? Or are the double and triple slashes intentional?
Btw, the environment variables set in clusterproperties.txt don’t have this issue.

    Hi Ricardo,

I don’t think this is intentional, I will file a change for this.

    Thanks

    My Hadoop-related system variables.
Many have double or triple slashes.
    I am running Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 (64-bit).
