Error message when starting the Sandbox

  • #26785
    Jack Dong

I got an error message while starting the Sandbox, and the loading process stuck on “Updating sandbox…”. The error message is:
    Adding udev persistent rules/etc/rc3.d/S26udev-post: line 41: /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules: Is a directory [FAILED] .

My system is Windows 7. I have enabled thr Virtual Machine feature in the BIOS. I am using VitualBox 4.2.12 r84980.
The Sandbox is Sandbox HDP Bombardier 2 (14.03). I have no problem runing other VMs with the Virtualbox.

    Hi Jack,

The error message you are seeing is actually normal for the Sandbox and can be ignored. A configuration change was done to make is so the same network interfaces would be used (eth0, eth1,…) on each new instantiation of the sandbox.
