    Hi Pavan,

    Is your hive metastore running on vex5dap1136:9083 ? Can you hive client host communicate with that host : port?

    Thanks,
    Yi

    Hi Pavan,
    Change the permission of metastore_db,which is in hive/metastore directory.
    by this command–
    -> SUDO chmod -R 777 /VAR/LIB/HIVE/METASTORE/METASTORE_DB

    -> chmod -R a+rwx /var/lib/hive/metastore/metastore_db

    After this you have to remove the .lck file by this command

    IT WILL UNLOCK ALL FILES.
    ->sudo rm /var/lib/hive/metastore/metastore_db/*.lck
