Error: Unauthorized connection for super-user

I’m seeing “Error: E0501 : E0501: Could not perform authorization operation, Unauthorized connection for super-user: oozie from IP $OOZIE_SERVER” when I try to start an oozie coordinator for a certain mapreduce job on just one of three clusters I’ve tried it on.

My proxyuser settings are consistent across clusters and correct enough that several other jobs, including mapreduce, shell-action, and java parts, are working fine even on the problematic cluster. Anyone seen anything like this before?
