    Hi,
    I am trying to yum install Hive and see this error. I have installed Hadoop HDP 1.2 but still I am getting this error. Can someone help.

    Hi Naga,

    Thanks for trying Hortonworks Data Platform.
    Did you tell the HDP installer (Ambari) to not install hive? Or did you do a manual installation of HDP?

    ]$ sudo yum install hive hcatalog

    –> Processing Dependency: hadoop >= 0.20.2 for package: hive-0.10.0.21-1.el6.noarch
    –> Finished Dependency Resolution
    Error: Package: hive-0.10.0.21-1.el6.noarch (HDP-1.2.0)
    Requires: hadoop >= 0.20.2
    You could try using –skip-broken to work around the problem
    You could try running: rpm -Va –nofiles –nodigest
