HDP on Linux – Installation Forum

Errors in accessing HMC console

  • #8170

    I have 2 machines running on CentOS 6.2. I installed HDP on both these machines. The installation is through without any errors. HMC service is also starting without any errors.

    Now I have 2 issues –
    1. The 2 machines are servers hence no GUI, so trying to access HMC console from a remote machine on the same network. But when I enter the URL http://machine_name/hmc/html/index.php, browser says it’s unable to connect to the machine
    2. After starting HMC service and checked logs under /var/log/hmc, /var/log/httpd and /var/log/puppet. No errors. But when I run the command “curl -I localhost/hmc/html/index.php, on the console I get this message
    HTTP/1.0 500 Internal Server Error
    Date: Sat, 11 Aug 2012 10:57:15 GMT
    Server: Apache/2.2.15 (CentOS)
    X-Powered-By: PHP/5.3.3
    Connection: close
    Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8

    and inside /var/log/httpd/error_log I see the following error –
    PHP Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘PDOException’ with message ‘SQLSTATE[HY000] [14] unable to open database file’ in /usr/share/hmc/php/db/HMCDBAccessor.php:40\nStack trace:\n#0 /usr/share/hmc/php/db/HMCDBAccessor.php(40): PDO->__construct(‘sqlite:/var/db/…’)\n#1 /usr/share/hmc/html/head.inc(43): HMCDBAccessor->__construct(‘/var/db/hmc/dat…’)\n#2 /usr/share/hmc/html/index.php(21): require_once(‘/usr/share/hmc/…’)\n#3 {main}\n thrown in /usr/share/hmc/php/db/HMCDBAccessor.php on line 40

    What is going wrong?
