Execution error while creating Hive table on exisitng HBase Table

  • #44564

    HDP 1.3 with Windows server 2012 environment. while creating Hive table on existing HBase Table in Stand alone mode, I am facing execution errors. Could you please help? Below are the details
    Hbase version: hbase-0.94.6.1.3.0.0-0380
    Hive version: hive-0.11.0.1.3.0.0-0380
    1) starting Hbase is successful
    2) Creating ‘hbasetohive’ hbase table is done successfully
    hbase(main):007:0> create ‘hbasetohive’, ‘colFamily’
    hbase(main):008:0> put ‘hbasetohive’, ‘1s’, ‘colFamily:val’,’1strowval’
    hbase(main):009:0> scan ‘hbasetohive’
    ROW COLUMN+CELL
    1s column=colFamily:val, timestamp=1385975169514, value=1strowval
    3) Started Hive is done
    4) Added required jar files to HIVE by using below commands
    hive> add jar C:\hdp\hadoop\hive-0.11.0.1.3.0.0-0380\lib\hive-hbase-handler-0.11.0.1.3.0.0-0380.jar;
    hive> add jar C:\hdp\hadoop\hive-0.11.0.1.3.0.0-0380\lib\hbase-0.94.6.1.3.0.0-0380.jar;
    hive> add jar C:\hdp\hadoop\hive-0.11.0.1.3.0.0-0380\lib\zookeeper-3.4.5.1.3.0.0-0380.jar;
    5) Trying to create hive table on existing Hbase table and querying it via Hive with below syntax
    CREATE EXTERNAL TABLE hbase_hivetable_k(key string, value string) STORED BY ‘org.apache.hadoop.hive.hbase.HBaseStorageHandler’
    WITH SERDEPROPERTIES (“hbase.columns.mapping” = “colFamily:val”) TBLPROPERTIES(“hbase.table.name” = “hbasetohive”);
    Here is my problem and I am getting below Exception while executing above create command
    java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.apache.hadoop.hbase.HBaseConfiguration.create(Lorg/apache/hadoop/conf/Configuration;)Lorg/apache/hadoop/conf/Configur
