    Hi Archanaa,

It looks like your datanode is offline – can you check for errors in your datanode logs in /var/log/hadoop/hdfs

    Hi Dave,

My Datanode is up,I am able to do from putty and have issues only when i try to upload from java program which runs on a windows machine

    Hi Archanaa,

So if you SSH into the machine itself and upload a file to hdfs as the hdfs user it works correctly?
Did you write the java program – are you including the correct JARs for the Linux HDP version?

    Hi Dave,

If i do ssh and login as root i am able to copy the files.

I have included the below jars in My Java Program.

    commons-configuration1.6 jar
