I am probably missing something but the hdfs commands I learned druing training I received on hdp 1.3 do not seem to be working on hdp 2 for windows. Are there docs available? All I see is docs on installation.

I have a single node installation on Server 2012 on VMWare.
    Thanks.

    Hi Dean,
For HDP 2.0, some of the hadoop commands have changed. Some now use hdfs vs. hadoop command strings. The hdfs commands is similar to linux version.

Here is al ink that might help.

    Hi Dean,
Was there a specific command you were wanting to get more information on?

This is a great start and it has been 3 months since I did training. Besides Hdfs commands are there other commands that changed, say in pig?

Some of the is getting used to working with open source software also.

    Thanks

    Hi Dean,
Definitely it does take getting used to, but as with everything, once learned it becomes easier.

    Regards,
    Robert
