HDP on Linux – Installation Forum

HDP 1.3 installation

  • #44089

I am trying to install hdp- on windows server 2008. I have installed all the required s/w and set the paths as mentioned in installation guide. While trying to install hdp- I am getting the error “This application requires Visual c++ 2010 redistributable package (x64) please install the Visual c++ 2010 redistributable package (x64) and run the installer again” even though i installed Visual c++ 2010 redistributable package (x64).
Cloud you please suggested me to resolve this problem.

I am trying the above installation on Windows Server 2008 Enterprise. Could you confirm me the above error was due to OS. In installation documents the required operating system was mentioned as “Windows Server 2008 R2”

    Hi Jhasi,

You will need to install against Windows 2008 R2 or Windows 2012
Please try with one of these OS’ and let me know how you get on
