  • #39960

Is it possible to connect MongoDB to HDP 2.0 and utilize hive to query Mongo data? I am aware that the hadoop-mongo connector supports hadoop 2.0 in clouderas distribution, but couldnt find anything on support in HDP….could someone please shed some light on this? Any information will be useful. Thanks!

File import and export from Mongodb and vice-versa.

data export from mongodb to hdfs.
    [hdfs@s ~]$ mongoexport -h localhost:27017 -d dbname -c collectionsname –query ‘{“_id” : ObjectId(“xxxxxxxxxx”)}’
data import from hdfs to mongodb
[hdfs@s ~]$ hadoop fs -text hdfs:/apps/x.txt | mongoimport –host localhost:27017 –db dbname –collection collectionname –type tsv -f –jsonArray
