I’m trying to find what the various services default passwords were set to. For example, zookeeper.

I don’t recall setting these passwords during installation.

    Thanks,

    -Ray

    Hi Ray,
What installation did you use? Normally, the service users (hdfs, mapred, etc..) don’t have passwords within the local system. During installation via ambari, you have to provide some passwords for hive metadata database, oozie database, and nagios admin password. Are you hitting into an issue? If so, can you provide details of the issue you are seeing?

    Kind Regards,
    Robert Molina

    Robert,

Yeah, I was having some issues using some prebuilt scripts that use (zookeeper, HDFS, etc) and I thought that it was one of the these services causing the problem. However , after further investigation, it was something else.

    My fault.

Thanks for your time and response.
