HDP on Windows – Installation Forum

HDP for Windows Server with GUI

  • #45307

    Hi,
I have used HDP sandbox for a while and wanted to know what all versions of HDP are for Windows which provide similer UI as the sandbox.
This link here shows the different versions and release notes of HDP http://docs.hortonworks.com/. Are all these not for Windows?
Someone posted that HDP 1.3.2 comes with HUE , installing which , gives same UI as the sandbox , but it is not for Windows, kindly provide info on this????

    Hi Ashish,
HDP 1.3.0 for windows is not exactly the same as HDP 1.3. for Linux. This webpage has a quick overview of what’s new http://hortonworks.com/products/hdp-windows/. As of today, Hue is not yet a part of HDP 1.3 for windows.

    Hope that helps.
    Regards,
    Robert

    Thank you Robert.

Now if I consider using HDP for Linux for my POC , what all versions are available with the HUE component…for the Sandbox like UI (for Hive,Oozie, Zookeeper, hcatalog , Pig etc)?

Kindly refer me some docs for the same?
