HDP on Linux – Installation Forum

HDP installation on Windows

I am trying to install HDP 1.1.0 for Windows Beta on Windows 2008 R2 server VM. I am trying to install entire HDP eco system in one server: NAMENODE,SECONDARY_NAMENODE,JOBTRACKER,HIVE_SERVER,OOZIE_SERVER,TEMPLETON and SLAVE. I am getting the following error and installation is stopped. I made sure that I followed all the steps on the documentation. Any ideas?

CustomAction CheckPreReq returned actual error code 1603 (note this may not be 100% accurate if translation happened inside sandbox)
    MainEngineThread is returning 1603

    Hi Sathiyan,

HDP issues on Windows should be discussed here:

Can you please repost your question there:

Also briefly looking on the error it appears that there seems to be an issue with checking with pre-requisites. Can you please check to make sure that installer command executed correctly, your HDP directories are able to write, and disks are not full?

    Hope this helps,
