    Hi,p
I have tried to install hdp-1.3.0.0. today
I am facing issue with smoke test , all the test have failed, and also observed that some services are not starting.
during the troubleshooting , i found that installation was creating a path
HDP: Installing HDP @version@ to D:\hdp\hadoop\\
HDP: Setting HADOOP_NODE_INSTALL_ROOT to D:\hdp\hadoop\\ at machine scope

i think it should have been single slash instead of double as path with double does not exists.
    Working on windows 8 pc
    Few Cases
HBASE: Copying configuration for master regionserver rest thrift thrift2
    HBASE: Creating service config D:\hdp\hadoop\\hbase-0.94.6.1.3.0.0-0380\bin\rest.xml

    Hi SQLEngineer,

    - For HBASE-CMD FAILURE: \Microsoft was unexpected at this time.

    Please see post:

    http://hortonworks.com/community/forums/topic/hdp-1-3-flumeagent-and-hbase-services-will-not-start/

    For Namenode startup issue:

Looks like you are binding to localhost IP. Please check your name resolution to make sure it resolves to correct IP and other nodes can resolve the host’s name and connect.

Also the following operating systems are supported:

    Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit)

    Windows Server 2012 (64-bit)

    http://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/HDP1/HDP-Win-1.3.0/bk_installing_hdp_for_windows/content/win-getting-ready-2-2.html

    Hope this helps,

    Thanks,
    Seth
