We’re following the instructions for installing the sandbox on EC2 and it says to …

“Copy the Hortonworks AMI ID from the Virtual Sandbox page”.

However, the AMI ID is not found on the Virtual Sandbox page. Does anyone know where I can find the AMI ID for Hortonworks on EC2?

    Hi Bryan,

That is correct. The version you are using is no longer available and no longer supported.

Does this mean you no longer support the virtual sandbox on EC2?

    Hi Bryan,

The version of Sandbox that you are working on has been discontinued and is no longer available or supported. We’ve replaced it with the Sandbox that’s available as a downloadable Virtual Machine and can be found here: http://hortonworks.com/products/hortonworks-sandbox/

    Regards,
    Cheryle
