    Hi Field,
    In regards to your questions:
    1. At them moment Active Directory Integration is not fully supported on HDP 1.1 and 1.3 on Windows. HDP on Windows uses winutils.exe utility to check group ownership.

    2. The following
    http://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/HDP1/HDP-Win-1.3.0/bk_installing_hdp_for_windows/content/win-install-chap3-1.html

    states to use start_remote_hdp_services.cmd

Is it not working for you?
    Regards,
    Robert

    Robert thank you

I have been able to run up my cluster use start_remote_hdp_services.cmd.
Just before using this cmd, should first execute “hadoop namenode -format”

    Hi Field,

You need to execute “hadoop namenode -format” if you set destroy data = no during installation. Please see forum below for more information:

    http://hortonworks.com/community/forums/topic/namenode-cannot-be-started-after-successful-hdp-1-3-installation/

    Thanks for using HDP,
    Seth
