    Hi Guys,

ODBC is a blessing so far. I want to do processing on hive side and see different aggregations in other tools like tableau/ spss etc. I am able to read data and pass simple sql as well. performance seems ok so far but really i have run some very straightforward queries like count(*), select * where etc.

I want to have some visiblity to whats going on in background so when i execute a query from an external tool how can I see query execution is going on on hive, how much time is it taking, if its pushes back query on hive or its executed on client side etc.

    Please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Charu

Thanks Dave. Do you know how can I locate them, it would be interesting to take a look at the logs.

    Hi Charu,

Your best bet would be to look in the hive logs on the machine. If this what you are after?

    Thanks

    Dave
