Hortonworks Sandbox + HDP Security – Version for VMWare?

    Hi Jennifer,
    Are you referring to the XASecure piece of the cluster that is being released? I believe you are and I can follow up on that. Please confirm.

    Hi Ian,

    That’s correct. I was interested in evaluating that, and was attempting to do so via the tutorial (http://hortonworks.com/hadoop-tutorial/securing-data-lake-auditing-user-access-using-hdp-security/). However, the sandbox version with XASecure installed works with VirtualBox, and I need a version that will work with VMWare.

    I’m trying to setup the sandbox in my laptop which has 4 GB RAM but the image takes hrs to boot up. is there a solution for it?

    I have downloaded 2.1 virtual machine
