how can I delete regionserver

to create new topics or reply. | New User Registration

    Hi
    I have installed nodemanage and regionserver together on the same machines with Ambari1.4.1.
    But I found Mapreduce take lots of cpus(often more than 90% cpu usage. Machine has 24 cores and run max 18 YarnChilds concurrent).
    So I want to move regionserver to other machines, seperate from nodemanage.

    I do not know how to delete regionserver on the original machines.
    I note Restful API has DELETE method. Is that useful or could you give me some other suggestion.

    So you want to delete the RegionServer host-component on that machine?

    These API instructions talk about deleting a whole service (like Hbase or Oozie) and deleting a whole host. Part of that process includes deleting the host-components. See if that helps.
