How to Find Sandbox on VMWare?

  • #28180
    David Vance

Using the HortonWorks sandbox. Loaded the SQL Server JDBC drivers (.exe and .tar.gz) into Hadoop using the File Browser. When I click “edit path” the “/user/sandbox” path is displayed. So far, so good.

Then, I go to the VMWare box and try to find the file/s so that it/they can be extracted. When I type “cd /” followed by “cd /user”, the following error is issued:
    No such file or directory

My question is, how do I locate the files that were uploaded to my sandbox from the VMWare box?

/user/sandbox id the directory in HDFS, not on the local filesystem.

MOre on this, you are using incorrect thread to ask questions on Sandbox.
    Correct one will be: http://hortonworks.com/community/forums/forum/installing-the-virtual-environment/
