Hue: Potential Misconfigurations Detected

  • #48422

We are not able to run Hue as it gets shut down after some time. During verification of Hue installations we noticed an error message –
Potential Misconfigurations Detected. Fix and restart Hue.
shell.shelltypes Command ‘/usr/bin/pig -l /dev/null’ for entry ‘pig’ in Shell app configuration cannot be found on the path.
shell.shelltypes Command ‘/usr/bin/hbase shell’ for entry ‘hbase’ in Shell app configuration cannot be found on the path.

Does anyone know how to fix this ? Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Ravi,

You need to run the following commands on the Hue machine:

    yum install pig
    yum install hbase

However as for hue shutting down itself, this wouldn’t cause that. You should check the logs in /var/log/hue to see what is happening when it goes down.
It’s possible your hue.ini is misconfigured.
