    Hi,

I am using HDP 2. I was using Sqoop import earlier to import data from SQL server to HDFS by using queries. I would like to know if I can use stored procedures in the same way to import data. DBA suggested that their servers are getting impacted for doing query plan everytime we use queries. I need to change this as soon as possible.

If it is not possible with Sqoop, please suggest if I have any other Mapreduce or Distributed way of importing the data.

    Thanks,
    Madhu

    Hi Madhu,

Unfortunately Sqoop import does not ‘stored procedure’ yet. There is an apache jira which has been logged for the same: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SQOOP-769
