    Hi Murshed,

    Please try to ping these hosts and see how it reacts to the ping ; preform both nslookup and the reverse. Also , Validate that the file “G:\hdpinst\clusterproperties.txt” is the same on all of the nodes with the path to the clusterproperties.txt file must be absolute. Relative paths will not work. More info can be found here :

    I think here is the actual error:

    But if you look at my clusterproperties.txt … it is set to the same FDQN.

    Hi Murshed ,

    From what I can see, This most likely could be caused by having a security software running and conflicting with the msi installation. Here is what its recommended :

    1. Please remove the security software installed. Run “regedit” in RUN option and validate that there is no entry in there.
    2. Run the installer with Admin rights.
    3. Validate that the latest MS installer is used for the installation.
    4. Derby may not be stable for hive metadata. It is better to use something else.
    DB_FLAVOR=derby

    If the issue persist , Please give us more detailed description of what exactly happend ; as much as possible. A full log is also going to be useful to completely figure this one out. Hope this helps.

    Thanks
