HDP on Linux – Installation Forum

Install hangs on the Wizard "Confirm Hosts"..

  • #16027
    David Lai

I tried to install HDP1.2 on a 4 nodes cluster:
    – Centos 6.3 (clean installed)
    – SSH Passwordless Key access between Ambari Host server and target hosts.
    – NTP, DNS configured for all nodes
    – SELinux are disabled
    – IPtables are turned off and disabled
    – Ambari-server start command will start the ambari server without any error
able to proceed to “install Options” in Wizard but fail on “Confirm Hosts” every time
There is no error msg in both in ambari-server.log and ambari-agent log and it seems the agent waiting for the commands right after bootstrap and entering registering but eventually timeout… below is the one of (partly) console log (all 3 target nodes are similar)

    Hi David,

Just to make sure, did you set up passwordless ssh from the node that will be the Ambari-server to itself?
