HDP on Linux – Installation Forum

Installation is not progressing

    Hi,
I have installed Hortonworks Data platform 1.3 and followed the installation notes. However, after step 3.5 (Confirm Hosts) I get notification that my nodes are under installation. The installation seems not to finish. When I check the node installation status I get the following ‘Registration node log”: Retrying …

What went wrong? Why my installation does not end.

Well, after a very long time, I got the following error:
    STDOUT

    STDERR
    Permission denied (publickey,gssapi-keyex,gssapi-with-mic,password).
    lost connection

This means that you passwordless ssh is not configured properly.
Consult with the documentation on how to set this up.

    Thank you!
    Sasha
