    well … i managed to install python 2.7 and ipython as well but could get access to with 1111 th port for ipython notebook which i specified in I am not so firm with network by i thought would by the local host (virtual box). has anybody an idea.

    actually i am wondering why hortonworks doesnt preinstall ipython and spark on their sandbox…

    yeah :-) I managed it

    i guess to things where missing

    1) port in virtualbox

    you need to specify theport of ipython notebook

    2) ipython_notebook_config

    c.IPKernelApp.transport = ‘tcp’

    need to be set
