Hi, we are running HDP 1.2 using Ambari.
Is there a way to specify different port number to use for hiveserver2?
    Currently, the default is 10000.

    Thanks. Amy

    Hi Amy,

Thanks for trying Hortonworks Data Platform.
You can add the property "hive.server2.thrift.port" to the custom configs in the Hive/advanced configuration section of Ambari during install. I am still researching to see if there is a way to set this property after install.

    Thanks and Happy Hadooping!
