Issues with Hive and Connecting with Putty after installation

    I have my cluster running on Windows Server 2012 Datacenter in Azure IaaS.

    As far as I can tell, everything is passing the smoke tests including Hive.

    I have two issues…

    1. I can’t connect with Putty. I get “Network Error Connection Refused”. Can you offer any assistance in getting this working?

    2. The HWI service is failing to start. It is attempting to restart every few seconds and ends. Is it possible that the Hive smoke test is passing even without the HWI service running? I gather that HWI is just the web interface for Hive.

    The service is ending with the log information below if it helps. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    To close this out…

    The issue connecting w/Putty is my naiveté…Use Command Prompt or PowerShell in Windows…d’oh.

    The Pig and Hive execution issues were being caused by firewall issues. I need to dig more into the ports causing the problem but disabling Windows Firewall for the time being has me moving forward.
