HDP on Linux – Installation Forum

Job Tracker Port

  • #30636

As per the installation manuals, the default job tracker port in HDP 1.3 should be 8021 and Job tracker Web UI port is 50030.

But both the mapred.job.tracker.http.address and mapred.job.tracker are getting set to the port 50030 by default installation.

Is this a discrepancy between the documentation and actual installation?

8021 is RPC port, 50030 is HTTP port.
It is correct in both places, docs and installation.

    Thank you!
