Load Pig File with Hive

    Hello community,

    I stored the results of a pig job in the file browser as a part-m-0000 file. Then I would like to import this file in a hive table. When I click in the tables tab of hive on “create new table from file” everything goes very easy and straightforward. Then I am able to acces this table in Hive for my Querries. Works perfectly fine. Now i thought this should work with code as well like the following commands:

    CREATE TABLE Source (col1 string, col2 int, col3 int, col4 int)
    LOAD DATA INPATH ‘user/hue/pigresult/part-m-00000’ OVERWRITE INTO TABLE Source;

    Unfortunately it didn’t. The only hint I got is the log file https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/15482726/Logs.txt

    Any help would be very welcome.

    Cheers,
    Joe
