Missing JobTracker service

    Seth,

    Thanks for the clarification. Obviously, I am very new to all of this. I will read up on Yarn.

    I am attempting to use the Microsoft.NET Map Reduce API for Hadoop to execute a simple MapReduce job, is there a specific port that I need to specify when connecting?

    Hi Mike,

    JobTracker functionality is depreciated in HDP 2.0. HDP 2.0 introduced Yarn which separates the resource management and processing components. You should not see JobTracker service in HDP 2.0 and instead see ResourceManager and NodeManager services in your deployment.
