    Hi
    I am trying to install HDP on a single node cluster
    I am able to start all the services except Nagios using the HMC GUI.

    Please find the below log with error details

    Can you follow the instructions here: http://hortonworks.com/community/forums/topic/hmc-installation-support-help-us-help-you/ once we have this information we can dig deeper into your specific problem.

    Do u have find the solution ,i got the same problem. All of the services started up successfully except nagios.

    Hi,

    Did you have Nagios installed prior to running the HMC installer? If so, while doing the uninstall to fix the mysql problem you are also having, also uninstall the version of Nagios you have installed.

    The /var/log/nagios does not have any log details.

    Hi,

    Does the Nagios log in /var/log/nagios/nagios.log contain any hint as to why Nagios failed to start?
