HDP on Linux – Installation Forum

New to Hadoop

I just finished installation of Hadoop, unpackaged Mahout and Maven. But I do not know what to do next. I was asked to set this up to see if Hadoop + Mahout can parse our XML database (extract key values from our different interfaces/nodes). How to make this happen I have no idea.

    Help please!

    Hi Ogoy,

Did you install HDP 1.3 or 2.0?

    Thanks

    Dave
