Not able to import table from database

    Hi .. I am using the following cmd:
    >sqoop import –connect jdbc:sqlserver://localhost –table My_Practice –username sa -P –target-dir /userPavan/table -m 1
    Although i didnt give the database name, MyData above, able to import the table successfully to HDFS.

    But if i specify the data base as below, error is occurred.
    >sqoop import –connect jdbc:sqlserver://localhost/MyData –table My_Practice –username sa -P –target-dir /userPavan/table -m 1

    Can anyone please help me out..!!!!!!!

    Hi Pavan,

    Can you try using:

    sqoop import –connect jdbc:sqlserver://localhost –table MyData.My_Practice –username sa -P –target-dir /userPavan/table -m 1

    However I have not had issues using your second query in your post – what is the error which is thrown?
