    OS: CentOS 6.3
    Hadoop: HDP alpha 2.0

    Restarting the VM after HDP installation and doing hadoop put causes below error:

    [root@swhdp2cl hadoop_user]# hadoop fs -put q.xml /user/
    put: Call From swhdp2cl.localdomain/ to swhdp2cl.localdomain:8020 failed on connection exception: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused; For more details see: http://wiki.apache.org/hadoop/ConnectionRefused
    [root@swhdp2cl hadoop_user]#

    [root@swhdp2cl hadoop_user]# cat /etc/hosts localhost.localdomain localhost
    ::1 localhost6.localdomain6 localhost6 swhdp2cl.localdomain

    1. restarted hmc.

    2. Logged into hmc and tried stopping / starting all services.

    3. while stopping, Oozie start fails. — Oozie operation log

    as this related to HDP 2.0 alpha, please repost to the corresponding forum.

    This current forum only covers current production release, not HDP 2.0 alpha…

    Thank you!
