Postgresql version issue (Ambari)

    hello,

    I installed ambari following the guide. The postgresql installed is 9.1.4 instead 8.4.31 mentioned in guide. The ambari setup script was broken and I have to fix it manually. E.g.

    PG_ST_CMD = “/sbin/service postgresql-9.1 status”
    PG_INITDB_CMD = “/sbin/service postgresql-9.1 initdb”
    PG_START_CMD = “/sbin/service postgresql-9.1 start”
    PG_RESTART_CMD = “/sbin/service postgresql-9.1 restart”
    PG_STATUS_RUNNING = “running”
    PG_HBA_DIR = “/var/lib/pgsql/9.1/data/”

    Hi Lebing,

    What version of HDP were you installing?
    8.4.13 is used in HDP, however it is pulled from the repository configured in the OS and not from the Hortonworks ambari.repo

    Thanks

    Dave

    Thank you! I manually installed PSS 8.4.13, solved this issue!
