    Hi,
we are using hortonworks haddop 1.2. in a distributed mode. While I was starting hadoop I was thinking is there a possibility to run it as a linux service? We use CentOS distribution. Is there currently andy possiblities to run it as service? Did I overlooked some section from documentation? Any thoughts why it might be a good or bad idea?

    Thanks
